How the Host Dry Carpet Cleaning System Works
Host is a soft natural product consisting of millions of absorbent sponges. These uniquely engineered sponges are moistened with specific amount of water and bio-based ingredients. Host products contain and control all the necessary ingredients to remove and hold both water soluble and oily soil.
For best results, we power vacuum with the Host Freestyle Extractor. The pile lifting action of the counter revolving brushes achieves greater soil removal than conventional vacuums. The more dry soil removed during this procedure, the better the results of the cleaning process.
After vacuuming, we apply Host sponges to the dirty carpet.
The Host Freestyle Extractor machine brushes the sponges up, down, over and around the carpet fibres, so they contact all surfaces of the soiled fibres, breaking the oil bond and wiping the soil away. This brushing action is like scrubbing a wall with a damp sponge—except that Host sponges can’t drip down the vertical carpet surface into the carpet backing. You don’t want dirty water getting down there, and Host prevents that.
When you use Host, you don’t lose control of the moisture and soil. The sponges hold the soil until they are removed by vacuuming.
Carpets do not re-soil as quickly as when cleaned with wet methods because there is no sticky residue to grab and hold fresh soil, and because uncontrolled dirty moisture can’t wick back up. Because the Host System does not contribute to re-soiling, regular, frequent vacuuming helps to keep the carpet cleaner longer.
The Host System may be used for regular carpet maintenance, for periodic deep extractions, or for spotting and area touch-ups.
